Nadeena Dixon
Nadeena began working as a professional Musician in 1992 after attending Adelaide University Indigenous Music Centre (C.A.S.M) Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (Associate Diploma Aboriginal Studies in Music), having maintained a career which has spanned over 15 years her original training ground began in Melbourne Victoria within the exciting then-emerging Indigenous Music Industry alongside renowned Indigenous Performance Artists including: Archie Roach & Ruby Hunter, Joe Geia, Kev Carmody, Tiddas and Melbourne based Aboriginal Rock and Blues Band Blackfire.
In 2012 Nadeena was awarded the Yabun Indigenous Artist of the year award ‘for her contribution to the Indigenous Music Industry’.
Nadeena has devised and Facilitated Training Programs for over 15 years, for clients including Koori Radio, City of Sydney, NSW Department of Education, NSW Police, University of Technology Sydney and the Powerhouse and Sydney Museums.
